We're getting married!

For Juan-Ré, their first date on the 28th of July 2024 was especially meaningful and a succesfull first online date and also his last . What could have been nerve-wracking instead became something unforgettable, as he met Shannon. They went for a brunch at Salt water grill in Durbanville which ended 5 hours and two bottles of wines later . From that very first day, there was a connection neither of them could ignore. Just a few months later, in September 2024, on a scenic stop at Knysna Heads while on their way to meet Shannon’s parents for the first time, Juan-Ré asked Shannon to be his girlfriend. With no doubt she said yes — marking the start of something truly special. Their love continued to grow stronger with each passing day, leading to a beautiful milestone on the 8th of August 2025. On a farm near Botrivier, surrounded by nature and the calm beauty of the countryside, Juan-Ré asked Shannon to marry him. This time it was a much bigger yes and the start of forever. Soon after, on the 1st of November 2025, they took another big step together — buying their first home and moving in. It became more than just a house; it became their space to build a life, filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Now, as they look ahead, Juan-Ré and Shannon can not wait for the 9th of October 2026 — the day they will say “I do.” Their story is one of love , reaching milestones, and continues to unfold into a future they are excited to share together. And this is only the beginning.
