Joshua and I met when he was only 16 and I was 17. I was the customer service supervisor at Kmart and one day this cute boy with dimples I just couldn’t ignore showed up. We connected over red smocks and smoke breaks and somehow being his “ supervisor” made it even that more fun to hang out. Anyone reading this that knows Josh … also knows the fact that he worked this customer service job… the only customer service job he’s ever had… it must have been fate for us to meet. Fast forward 20 years and I’m on facebook and see someone with the last name Jernigan . Of course it made me think of Josh and wonder what he’s been up to …. And I friend request him . The next day I get a message asking how I’ve been and what have I been up to. At this time I notice he recently had just moved to Utah which is across the country over 2000 miles, two plane rides a minimum of 7 hours, or a 32 hour drive. I know these details because the moment we reconnected we never stopped. We have been long distance going on two years and if anyone has ever experienced one… its not easy! We’ve done countless plane trips, traveled across the country together, currently drive four hours one way to get a few hours or days together. We have to share our daily lives with each other via messages and pictures. It’s not easy but so incredibly worth it because I’m marrying my best friend, my rock, my partner in life that I couldn’t do this world without. If our story isn’t proof that fate put us back together, I don’t what is. What I do know is we are so incredibly excited to share our big day with all of our close family and friends. We hope to see everyone there and thank you in advance. In addition to getting married we are also purchasing our first home together so as you can see on our registry we are asking for donations for home renovations in lieu of gifts. We appreciate all your love and support and are excited to see you all in September!
