Our story began on July 4th, 2021—not with fireworks in the sky, but with a spark between two strangers on a dating app. We matched, started talking, and it didn’t take long to realize there was something special happening. Our conversations flowed so easily, and we quickly discovered just how much we had in common. Jerome was sweet, engaging, and had a way of making me feel seen—even through a phone screen. Before we ever met in person, we spent countless hours talking on the phone. There was a comfort between us that felt rare, even though we hadn't yet stood face to face. Of course, getting to that first date wasn’t without its twists. I tend to be indecisive, and one night, I finally suggested we meet—at 1am at PTs. Jerome thought I was setting him up so to change the direction of the conversation he casually offered to just swing by my house. I laughed and called him a creep (in my defense, I’d had my fair share of weird dating experiences!), but deep down, something told me this was different. So, we agreed it would be best to meet at a more comfortable time and space. When we finally met in person at Golden Tiki in late August, there were nerves—but they disappeared quickly. The connection we felt through our conversations was even stronger in person. That night, Jerome looked at me and said he planned to see me again soon. And true to his word, he did. From that moment on, things just... took off. Three and a half years later, here we are—still laughing, still learning, and more in love than ever. What started with a simple swipe has grown into the most meaningful journey of our lives. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
