We never did go to the same school! We met through Leah, the more outgoing, extroverted counterpart of the bride. Jamie and Leah became fast friends, and later, even roommates! Shannon took a bit longer to come around to Jamie's small but sweet advances. It just took a bit of motivation of watching Jamie in action at a football game to realize that he was the one for her.

Jamie planned all summer: From picking and ordering the ring (from Shannon's Google Doc she shared with him), to keeping it a secret from his own mother and step-dad (because they cannot keep a secret to save their lives), to re-directing the plan because the ring did not come in time for a friends camping trip. Ultimately, it was a proposal that suited them just perfectly: A trip to Witty's Lagoon (where their very first date was); with their beach-manic, perfect canine companion; and, a lacklustre reaction from Shannon as she suspected this was coming the whole time.
