Maid of Honor
Shannon's sister, friend, and built-in best friend since birth. Brittany was always happy to try new makeup techniques on Shannon as her real-life baby doll. They share a love for family, friends, and animals. That love for animals is the inspiration behind Shannon's involvement in horseback riding.
Best Man
Greg's older brother and best friend since he was trying to re-name Greg 'Spike' after his favorite character in the Land Before Time.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and Shannon have been long-time childhood friends who initially met and bonded over their love of horses while learning to ride at the same barn. They even convinced their parents to send them to the same high school. The two shared middle school drama, supported each other during their college maturation, and learned to deal with problem customers while working summer jobs at restaurants like the Clam Shack. They've shared the joys and stresses of planning a wedding simultaneously, with Kelsey recently tying the knot in June!
Groomsman
Byron met the Groom at James Madison University while being hazed in the basement of their Sigma Nu frat house. They've been good friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
Abby has been an inseparable friend to Shannon since her freshman year of high school, after a hard-fought interrogation about where she went to middle school. Abby was often the source of the ideas that turned into memorable stories, and the three of them (Abby, Shannon, and Kelsey) were known as the triplets throughout their teenage years.
Groomsman
Another JMU/Sigma Nu connection made, Greg and Alex first bonded over a late night study session at the library of all places. Greg officiated Alex's wedding to his wife Lauren last October where people are saying Greg did a fantastic job. Likely much better than Steele will do. Not sure why people are saying that last part, but they are.
Bridesmaid
Julia is Shannon's future sister-in-law. She's welcomed Shannon into the Frattaroli family and is the inside source for Greg's embarrassing moments, though sometimes she makes them up, like how he bullied her in high school.
Groomsman
Another JMU friend, although not in the same pledge class as the rest of the Groomsmen, Greg and Joey were in the same dorm freshman year and were eventual roommates for two years. He was often the one hazing the others.
Bridesmaid
Katy was one of Shannon's first friends at St. Mike's, where they both attended college. Katy, her husband Justin were a part of Shannon + Greg's first official double date with a North End dinner and concert at TD Garden! Fun Fact: Katy is actually a triplet to Danielle and her brother Brian.
Groomsman
A hometown friend from a young age, Greg and Mike grew up playing sports together. In high school, Mike protected Greg when he played quarterback as his left tackle. Far from the Blindside story, Greg unfortunately broke his leg during their high school spring game and was eventually benched for a much more talented QB. Greg and Mike continued to stay close through college and beyond.
Bridesmaid
Danielle met Shannon through Katy and became close friends during the senior year of college, where they were roommates. Danielle was Shannon's first culinary instructor, teaching Shannon how to make scrambled eggs she actually enjoyed (lots of cheese), which helped get her through college.
Groomsman
The comedic relief. Erik, also known as Big Sexy, is a dear friend that Greg met through his fraternity. They've shared many-a-laughs and great times maturing alongside one another. You will almost certainly see none of that maturity at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Another St. Mike's connection! Shannon and Carolyn met in their freshman year of college and were roommates both during and after school. They lived together through the pandemic and then as neighbors in East Boston, where Carolyn still lives. Both Swifties at heart, Shannon and Carolyn attended an Eras Tour concert in Lyon, France last year - friendship bracelet swapping is encouraged.
Groomsman
Although Dan grew up just 15 minutes from Greg in the neighboring town of Brookfield, CT, the two didn’t officially meet until they were 400 miles from home at James Madison University—unless you count the time Greg and his Newtown friends heckled Dan at the Brookfield vs. Newtown High School basketball game.
Bridesmaid
Natalia and Shannon met as the new kids in high school freshman year. They've remained close despite a long distance - Natalia living in Spain. As a foreign exchange student, Shannon helped Natalia with her English homework, and Natalia returned the favor by doing Shannon's Spanish homework. Please don't tell Ms. Mahoney.
Groomsman
A newly married man himself, Ryan brings the wisdom of almost three months of marriage to shepherd the group through the bachelor party and wedding weekend sin-free.
Bridesmaid
Erin and Shannon were colleagues first at a tech start-up before transforming into adventure buddies, taking part in trips from Miami to the Pacific Northwest. Erin also played a pivotal role in helping convince Shannon to show up at her surprise engagement party, giving Greg cover to switch their dinner plans at the last minute because her boyfriend, Josh, who "really likes boats," wanted to be by the water.
Groomsman
A hard man to describe, but an easy one to love. Billy and Greg met at their freshman year dormitory of JMU. They roomed together sophomore year and have remained close since. Billy's is perhaps best known for his dance-off victory over Greg at the Ek/Runtagh wedding in 2019. Rumor has it there will be a rematch this August.
Bridesmaid
Another colleague, Phyllis, was Shannon's boss. They quickly bonded over having to share the same hotel room on a work trip—a logistical mishap that seemed normal but was questioned later. To this day, she is the only person who has convinced Shannon to go paintballing.
Groomsman
Austin has known Greg since a young age where they grew up playing sports together. Both Newtown residents, Austin and is also in a relationship with Julia Frattaroli, Greg's sister.
Officiant
Our wedding officiant, who is only qualified to officiate due to his living in the Holy City (Charleston, SC), has been a close friend of Greg since they met at James Madison University and was a part of Greg's fraternity pledge class.
