Evin and Shannon met in high school and then started hanging out after graduation through mutual friends. One of their friends asked Shannon “why don’t you just date Evin?”. Shannon took Evin’s phone and put that they were in a relationship on Facebook, because what better way to make things official then on Facebook. They didn’t even have each other numbers but everyone thought this was for real. Except them. Evin texted Shannon one day and asked if they could go on a date and see where things took them. Shannon agreed. They went to the pier where the two sat next to each other holding hands and talking nervously while the waves crashed below them. Evin then took Shannon to Myakka State Park and where they walked the canopy walk late at night. Again, up there they talked nervously hand in hand. The next 7 and a half years is history.
Shannon’s parents planned a trip for the family to go to Sanibel in June of 2018. Little did Shannon know Evin and her mom, Sheila had been looking at rings since February. After work one day Sheila called her to tell her she was interested in family photos the last night they were in Sanibel but was thinking about using her camera to take them. Shannon asked her mom why they couldn’t find someone to take them instead. Her mom told her there was no way she could someone to take them. Shannon took things into her own hands and found a girl named Courtney to take the families photos the last night at sunset. Courtney shows up and meets the entire family. We start as a family in front of a tree then move to this bridge where we break off into separate photos of all of us. Including Shannon and Evin alone. Courtney tells Evin to twirl her and bring her in for a kiss. They stop and Shannon says out loud “what do we do now” and Evin replies “this” and she looks over and he is on one knee.
