We met at a party and crossed each others path over a minor misunderstanding. After some clarification and small conversation, we found that we had a few things in common and decided to exchange numbers. With the encouragement of a friend, I decided to reach out to him first. Neither one of us were really interested at the time to begin anything new but the more we talked, the more we connected. We developed a great friendship over the next couple of years, that soon turned into our love story.

It was a complete surprise. Although we discussed marriage and had even gone to get my finger sized, I didn't have a clue when it would happen. He asked me to plan a last minute vacation for Christmas but I had no idea it would be to celebrate our engagement. He proposed to me on Christmas Eve together with family and friends. It was completely normal for our families and friends to get together, so I didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until he got everyone's attention in the room as if he had an announcement to make, that I realized that everyone in the room knew what was going on but me. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
