It comes as no surprise Claude and Shannon are passionate about all thing’s motorcycles, so what would be more fitting than to stumble upon love while enjoying their favorite pastime? The two first exchanged introductions while attending a club event at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. Being a perfect gentleman, Claude was first to offer his name…. his government name at that, letting Shannon know he was there for serious business. He made small talk by mentioning that he recognized her from photos of being recently vested as a part of the motorcycle club, Smokin Curvz. The bantering continued as Claude for several minutes insisted that Shannon was pictured with her children and that he was keeping a close eye on her social media pages. Although Shannon pleaded it was not her, Claude remained persistent and decided to change the course exchange by offering Shannon to a drink. Being the strong-willed woman she is, Shannon declined, keeping with the thought of Claude approaching the wrong woman. Thank God for whispered courage, that came in the form of Rose (Paparazzi), who nudged, “ Girl, he looked at you, as if you are his future!”, thus encouraging Shannon to let down her guard and accept Claude’s offer. The purchase of a beverage and a fish sandwich, turned minutes into hours of conversation, before Claude had to take off. They exchanged numbers and parted ways for the night. The two met up the next day, and eventually spent the entire weekend together, attending a concert in Atlanta, and extending their stay by an extra day in pursuit of becoming better acquainted. Both knew something was different about their connection….a if this is a dream, please don’t wake me, kind of connection. Claude an instant protector, Shannon instantly tender-hearted. From that weekend to this very day, the two have been inseparable!
Christmas of 2023 Claude, accompanied by his parents, his Aunt Trice, and beautiful daughter Aubree spent the holiday with Shannon and her parents in King George, Virginia. Just as the excitement of exchanging gifts was starting to calm down, Shannon opened a gift, said to be from Aubree. A gift bag filled with prescriptions bottles, packs of gum, fruit, and other familiar contents from the kitchen counter were discovered as Shannon rummaged through the bag. Claude recalled the attention of the room saying, “Well, well, well, maybe this is your gift “, while pulling something from his pocket. Shannon immediately took notice of everyone gleaming with joy, with phones raised recording the moment, as Claude went down on one knee, asking for her hand in marriage. Being a family centered man, Claude ensured this moment and decision happened honorably, before his parents, future in-laws, and his daughter. Making it a Christmas to remember for them all, especially his soon-to-be gorgeous bride!
