Chris and Shannon met at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in 2015. After becoming roommates in 2016, and lots of time together, they realized that there was more than just a friendship. They had there son in 2019 and in 2020 Chris decided to make it official and the rest is history.

Chris and Shannon were getting their son, Carter's, New born pictures done. However, little did Shannon know, Chris had something up his sleeve. During the pictures, Chris sent Shannon to start packing the car and out of the room. When she came back, there was music playing and their son was in a new outfit. Shannon looked at their newborn's onesie that said "Will you Marry Daddy" Chris got down on one knee and asked Shannon to make him the happiest man everyday by marrying him. She said yes!
