Why a destination wedding?

Answer

We have family and friends all across the country and we liked the idea of getting everyone together in a mini-vacation since most people would need to travel and lodge regardless of the wedding location.

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Answer

No, but there is a fee for each individual that doesn't. We HIGHLY encourage you to stay at the resort. All wedding activities and welcome events will take place at the resort. If you stay elsewhere, you will have to pay for transportation and a day pass to visit the resort starting from $160+ a day/per person. Please contact us if there are issues with staying at the resort.

Can I book separately?

Answer

Do I have a plus one for the wedding events?

Answer

Please refer to the invitation envelope or the RSVP page to see if a plus one is allotted for you at the wedding events.

Is this resort All Inclusive or kid friendly?

Answer

The resort (Dreams) is kid-friendly and All Inclusive (food, drinks, etc. included). There are two resorts (Secrets and Dreams) that guests over 18 can access on the property. The Secrets (Adults-Only Sister Resort next door) Resort will unfortunately be closed for renovations, which was released June 2024. Kids under 12 stay discounted. Kids under 2 stay free.

Are kids able to come to the wedding?

Answer

While kids are allowed at the resort (Dreams), they will not be allowed at the Wedding or Reception. The resort does provide the Explorer Club and Core Zone Teens Club (included), as well as babysitting/private nannies for a fee, which many people have used (please let us know if this service is needed for you, we will pay the fee for the hours of the wedding). Are excursions or off-resort activities included in the price?

Answer

Events off-resort are not included in the price, including restaurants. These will all be separate costs.

What day should I arrive?

Answer

The Bride and Groom will be arriving on the 27th. There is a 3-day minimum for booking, so whichever day you choose, please keep that in mind. Which airport do I need to fly in to?

Answer

Please book your own flights to Cancun International Airport (CUN). Flight costs are not included in the resort booking. We recommend booking your flights as early as you can, within 1 year of the event. Usually 6-8 months out is ideal. Consider using tools like Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Hopper to see when the best prices come up.

How can I get from the airport to the resort and back?

Answer

Transportation to and from the Cancun airport can be included in your booking price. No need to arrange a taxi when arriving or leaving Mexico if you add a transfer when booking your room.

Can I go into Cancun?

Answer

Yes! We highly recommend seeing Cancun and will have some activities planned in town as well (see Schedule and Things To Do pages).

What is the dress code?

Answer

This event is cocktail! Dress colorfully for fun and dancing! (Black outfits not recommended as it will be very hot!)
