In June 2021 Shannon came to Hawaii to visit with a couple of girlfriends and scope out her new home as she had orders to move to Hawaii in 2022. Being that she was on a tropical vacation she was buzzin' around Bumble (a dating app). At that time Chance was already stationed in Oahu and he came across Shannon's profile, swiped right and it was a match! After chatting for a few days they saw that they had a lot in common and wanted to finally meet in person. They decided on a location, Maui Brewing Co. in Kailua. Chancelor and his "wingman" Salinas somehow ended up at the Maui Brewing Co. in Waikiki, 30 mins away on the other side of the island. Once he realized that he had gone to the wrong restaurant, he calls to explain that he was on his way.. and now to the correct location. He eventually shows up....2 hours late! He strolls up (like he isn't extremely late) and walks over to sit across from her to which she responds with, "What, you don't wanna sit NEXT to me?" At that moment he knew... She was sassy and he liked it! They made plans to hang out the next day, going to Waimea Beach, the Temple in Kaneohe, Korean BBQ, and then Bellows Beach. But eventually, their fairytale seemingly had to come to an end and Shannon had to return to California. They kept in touch knowing that there was more there than just a Hawaiian vacation romance. Fast forward to today: they're stationed together in Hawaii, planning their wedding, and looking forward to their future together.
