Camp Paxson sits on the shores of Seeley Lake, one of a chain of five lakes nestled between the Swan Mountain Range and the Mission Mountain Range in Western Montana. Its' campus sits on a 15 acre peninsula and has 15 log sleeping cabins, two bathhouses, a Bride/Groom cabin, and a lodge! Guests will need to bring their own bedding (air mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, sheets, blankets) as well as tents or hammocks for those who want to enjoy the Montana night sky! There is no parking or hookups for RVs at camp Paxson, however there are campgrounds nearby that can accommodate RVs. Keep in mind reservations for campgrounds near camp Paxson will need to be made Jan/2024 at the earliest. Parking at Camp Paxson is limited, a shuttle service will be set up to additional parking on Boy Scout Road. Whats the dress code?

Answer

Smart Casual. It will be mid summer here in Montana so it is going to be hot, but it could rain. Dress for warm weather and bring your rain coat. There will be lots of activities to participate in. So be prepared to run, jump, swim, and party! or just relax! Bring a swimsuit and sandals but also your hikin' boots!!

What are some items to bring along?

Answer

Sunscreen, bug spray, toiletries, beach and bath towels, bear spray, water, alcoholic beverages, food, snacks. Feel free to bring your own cooler with your name on the label. All food needs to be kept in the lodge where there is a large walk-in cooler. There is a little grocery store in Seeley Lake just a few minutes away.

Can I bring my boat, canoe, kayak, jet ski, SUP!?

Answer

Absolutely. Yes. Indeed!

Will meals be provided?

Answer

Dinners and breakfasts will be provided by the bride and groom. We strongly encourage you to bring your own food for lunches and snacks. Camp Paxson policy requires guests to store all food in the lodge due to the potential for bear activity. The lodge is equipped with a full service kitchen and a large walk in cooler. Just label your cooler and store it for your convenience in the lodge refrigerator.

Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

Alcohol will not be provided. If drinks are desired you are welcome to bring your own beer, wine or cocktails.

Are there restrooms and Showers?

Answer

Camp Paxson has two large bathhouses for men and women. There are 3 shower stalls and 3 toilet stalls in each as well as several sinks and mirrors. Bring sandals for the shower.

Do cabins have electricity?

Answer

Cabins do have electricity for charging phones, blowup mattresses, fans etc.

Is my dog or cat allowed?

Answer

No there is no pets allowed to stay on Camp Paxson.
