It was intern orientation day at GE Aviation and Augie slid into the room (late... and sweaty) and introduced himself to the room in a way that did not invite further conversation, at least in Shannon's mind. Following the orientation presentation that the company put on, all headed to lunch across GE's campus. With that, Augie hopped into his Chrysler 300S (the 'S' stands for 'Sport' and nobody had to know it was his dad's) and immediately scraped the front of it over a parking stop. Unfortunately, Shannon was already in her car and in position to witness the "CRUNCH" and corresponding horror on his face. The two did not speak of the incident at lunch, and did not speak to one another much at all for that matter; needless to say, this was not love at first sight, but they were unknowingly attracted to each another and that was enough to create a spark during their next encounter...
