Because no good story ever started with eating a salad, we met at a bar in downtown Jacksonville called the Loft. I was a freshman at University of North Florida and had just turned 19. Ander was a sophomore at Jacksonville University and was 20. After staring at a group of men all over 6'5 thinking I was going to get an autograph, I walked up to ask them if they played for the Jags. I quickly was told they didn't play for the Jags, but the JU Dolphins. Tyler (groomsman) pushed me into Ander and we danced the night away (shoutout to Tyler). Our story did not end here though, we played phone tag and typical college games over the next few years. My friends referred to Ander as "JU boy" and Ander's friends referred to me as "ZTA girl." In 2017, I transferred to JU for nursing school. After passing each other once on campus, "Shander" we became and the rest is history. We haven't left each others sides since!

Ander and I had been talking about taking a special trip for our 3 year anniversary for a while and decided on Nashville, TN. We stayed at the cutest cottage airbnb on 12 South and enjoyed all of the trendy, charming spots around there. We went to Arrington Vineyard the second day and that's when he did it. He pulled me to the side in front of the vineyards and got on one knee. A photographer jumped out of no where and captured the whole thing. Our best friends, Sydney and Adam drove up from Atlanta and surprised us at our reservations that night to celebrate. Everything was perfect from the ring to the whole weekend itself..it truly was a dream!
