We met at Linfield University, where we were both college athletes. Between practices, classes, and spending time with the same friend group, we got to know each other in the easiest, most natural way — no pressure, no expectations… just laughter, shared meals, and long days around campus. From the very beginning, Shannon just knew. Every time the friend group was together, she naturally gravitated toward Liam. There was something about him — intelligent, handsome, tough, and steady — and being around him felt different. Not loud or dramatic… just right. Even with that feeling, Shannon made a promise to herself that she wouldn’t date anyone until she graduated in 2021. So instead of rushing into anything, we built a friendship first. After graduation, the timing finally aligned. And it became real, fast. Shannon would travel to Spokane on weekends just to see Liam — early morning flights, Sunday night goodbyes, and FaceTime calls in between. Every trip made it harder to leave. Every weekend made us more certain of what we were building. And then came Brady the Beagle Boy. After weeks of convincing, Liam finally agreed the time was right to expand our little team. We brought home the most rambunctious, stubborn, lovable beagle who has tested our patience and filled our home with so much joy. Brady is now our adventure buddy and proud Chief Chaos Officer. What started as a spark in a college friend group grew into a partnership built on adventure, growth, challenge, joy, comfort and unwavering support. And now, we get to build our life together. 🤍
