Things To Do

Hey everyone, Jesse (groomsman) and myself have put together a list of local favorites for you guys to check out while you are in town. I hope you enjoy our recommendations. Feel free to shoot me a call if you have any questions or want any suggestions.
Robbie's

Robbie's

77522 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, FL 33036
, (305) 664-8070

Robbie's is a famous for being able to hand feed HUGE 100-200lb tarpon, but they also offer great fishing charters. I would recomend the Capt. Michael party boat for a low cost bottom fishing trip. Blue Heaven is an awsome offshore charter boat if your looking to hook some fresh Mahi, Wahoo etc. I would definitelty check Robbie's out if you are looking for some gifts, lunch, and fun for the kids. This is the best place in the keys for unique souvenirs (Shannon's favorite place to shop!).

Fantastic II Sport Fishing Charters

Fantastic II Sport Fishing Charters

99701 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 451-2890

Fantasic II is a great charter out of Key Largo mainly for catching grouper and yellow tail snapper. Grouper season opens May 1st, so grouper fishing should be good.

Captain Easy

Captain Easy

85920 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, FL 33036
, 305-360-2120

This guy knows where the grouper are at. If you want to drive a little further south, it will be worth it.

Second Nature Charters

Key West, FL 33040
, (305) 393-0566

Here is a good fishing boat if you find yourself in Key West.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

102601 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 451-6300

If you want to go snorkeling or scuba diving go to John Pennekamp. I would recomend the park snorkel tours. They also offer Scuba Diving. Sea Dwellers is another dive shop to check out they run a good operation. Also ask if you will be diving Molasses reef (it is the best reef in the Keys).

Theater of the Sea

84721 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, FL 33036
, (305) 664-2431

Theater of the Sea is the Sea World of the keys. Great place for the kids to have fun, also enjoyable for adults.

Dolphin Research Center

58901 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050
, (305) 289-1121

This a rescue facility for dolphins and other animals, and also the original home of Flipper. It is a very unique, down to earth place to get up close and personal with dolphins.

Turtle Hospital

2396 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050
, (305) 743-2552

If you love sea turtles, this is your place.

No Name Pub

No Name Pub

30813 Watson Boulevard, Big Pine Key, FL 33043
, (305) 872-9115

Key deer are the smallest subspecies of white tail in the U.S. and they are only found on bigpine key. If you want to see key deer go grab some food here in the evening or the morning, you will see them on the way. You can also just turn down Key Deer Boulevard and you should see them in the morning or evening.

Key Largo Conch House

100211 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 453-4844

Great place to eat any time of day. The atmoshere is very relaxing, and the key lime pie is awesome!

Key Largo Fisheries

1313 Ocean Bay Drive, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 451-3782

Great local fresh seafood, LUNCH ONLY.

Lazy Days Restaurant

79867 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, FL 33036
, (305) 664-5256

On the water, awesome food, and they will cook you catch if you go fishing. Its our go to after a day of fishing.

Pilot House Restaurant & Marina

13 Seagate Boulevard, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 451-3142

Cool place to eat over the water with a glass bottom floor to watch the fish while you eat some fish.

Snappers Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar

139 Seaside Avenue, Key Largo, FL 33037
, (305) 852-5956

Another great place to grab some delicious food on the water. I think they cook your catch, also.

Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar

96 Madeira Road, Islamorada, FL 33036
, (305) 664-2692

Great place to put your feet in the sand and eat some delicious food. Shannon and Ian's favorite place to grab some cocktails, local beer, and fresh fish.

For all the days along the way
