What kind of weather should I expect?

Answer

Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but Montauk’s weather in June is usually beautiful. The average daytime high is 72°F (22°C) & nighttime low is 60°F (15°C). But it’s still summer in New York, so it can be humid.

While we love all of your children, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration.

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we can only invite the individual(s) named on the inner envelope of your invitation.

What is a “New York Style Reception”?

Answer

For all our international guests, a “New York Style Reception” is where the Bride and Groom enter the room and everyone dances for 10-15 minutes before the Toasts and Blessing even take place. Then throughout dinner, between the courses, everyone dances for 2-3 songs, then sit down to enjoy the next course of their meal.

What kind of bar service is going to be provided?

We will be offering an open bar at our wedding day celebrations…it will also be heavily photographed, so just be aware that any drunken shenanigans will be documented for years to come!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for each event is outlined on the Schedule page of this website. “Summer Formal” doesn't need to be complicated, the goal is to achieve a formal look while also keeping any outdoor weather conditions in mind. Ladies can wear a long dress, fancy cocktail dress, or wide-legged pantsuit. Please note that the reception will be held in the garden, so you might want to rethink those stilettos! Also, Montauk can get a little chilly at night—we recommend bringing a shawl or light jacket. Gentlemen, a suit is recommended, summer colors are encouraged Basically, dress to impress!! Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying at the reception site, Solé East Resort, or it’s sister site, Solé East Beach. We have secured a block of rooms at a discounted rate (details of room rates can be found on the Travel page of this website). However, there are a lot of options available, note that most hotels require a two night minimum. If planning an extended stay, another option is one of the many house rentals in the area. Most importantly, Montauk is a very popular vacation destination in June, so we strongly recommend booking as soon as possible, rates can get quite expensive!

How do I get the wedding discount rate at Solé East?

All inquiries should include: * your name * your email address * your contact phone number * type of room you would like to book (outlined on Schedule page of this website) * and most important, reference to the Bonifati/McGovern wedding room block from June 16th - 18th. Guests may submit their reservation inquiry in one of the following two ways: 1.) Via Telephone to Solé East Resort: (631) 668.2105 You may need to leave a voicemail and someone will give you a call back within 1 business day. 2.)
