Sisters-from-another-Mother
Shan meet the twins at UNCA & at first they did not get along. To them, Shan was an odd international student with short hair, bangs, braces & a dad who walked around campus shirtless. To Shan, B & B were straight outta the movies, always fixing their hair, listening to rap music & then the total opposite, Country! Now these 3 are inseparable (as inseparable as you can get when you live half way across the world from each other). This is their first visit to NZ so please make them feel welcome, anytime spent with these two is precious to Shan and who knows when they can return. With that in mind also feel free to help Shan pay them back for the years of ridicule for using words like the boot, a trolley and chippies! Kiwiana dictionary or not, it is finally their turn to be misunderstood!
Best Man
Anaru, Grew up together. Spent many a summer failing to surf at Sandy Bay, teasing the valley kids in Maruata, learning to drive in their grandfathers one door truck and thinking they were the cool kids on the block when visiting the Marae with their grandparents. Plenty of good times had.
Officiant
Mike is Shan's big bro and although he closely resembles a hobbit she loves him dearly. Mike kindly agreed to marry Shan and Luke and it will be a pretty special moment for them all. And as an extra wedding present Mike is moving the entire family up North where they will be closer to their Aunty! Whaaaaat!
Groomsman
Timmy. Luke tends to end up in trouble after a few beverages with his uncle. Not that Tim is to be blamed entirely, more so it is their mischief genes they have inherited from their O'Brien/Penny side (long story). Good bloke.
