Our love story began in December 2016 when Shannen downloaded Tinder to avoid studying for finals. She was finishing the first semester of her master's at UM School of Public Health, and Ryan happened to be applying to the program at the same time. Luckily, we both swiped right, heavily influenced by the pictures of dogs in each other's profiles. A few weeks later, we met for a first date over lattes. We continued visiting each other on weekends, which mostly meant Shannen going to Ryan's place in Southgate so that she could give lots of love and bananas to Coral. Later that summer, Ryan finally moved to Ann Arbor. Since then, we've spent our days taking long walks around town, kayaking along the Huron River, enjoying Michigan beers, and eating lots of $5 Hot-n-Ready pizzas on Friday nights.

We're keeping it simple and having an intimate celebration with our immediate families. We are so grateful for all the love from family and friends, near and far, as we begin this new adventure together!
