Shanna and John grew up in the same hometown for 15 years but somehow never crossed paths. When John was in his 20s, he was relocated to Tennessee for a job. A few years later, Shanna also found herself moving to the same area in Tennessee to continue a job in sales. Shanna had made many cold calls to gain new clientele, but when she and John had their first interaction, there was an obvious chemistry between them. During the sales transaction, they discovered that they were both from the same area, which sparked up a common ground (literally) that made the conversation flow easily. Very soon, they found themselves happily dating and on the way to a bright future!

John had known early on that he wanted to marry Shanna, and he asked for her parents' approval about a year after they met. Two years into dating, they were preparing for a Christmas party after spending a fun-filled day with family, and John couldn’t wait any longer. He convinced Shanna to come to the first place he had ever laid eyes on her, got down on one knee, and asked if she would be his wife. She happily said yes!!
