The Wedding Website of Shaniqua Porter-Bush and Corea Bush
There is no such thing as a DUMB question, so If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via phone or social media DM's and we will do our best to answer them! We want all of you to know what to expect on our day!
Question

Can I bring my kids, family member, or a plus-1?

Answer

Due to limited space and OUR budget, we are keeping our ceremony very small and intimate. We are not able to invite everyone from our very large families. Only guests with an invitation will be permitted, any one not on guest list will be politely removed from the ceremony. We do hope everyone understands and thank you for your support.

Question

What is the dress code (color)?

Answer

We would prefer all our guests wear the color PEACH :-) The most common beach wedding outfits for men are button-down shirts with slacks or chinos and flowy maxi dresses and jumpsuits for women. We are asking our guests to dress relaxed and comfortably because the ceremony/reception will reside on the beach if weather permits. Our reception will be taking place on the beach as well so keep this in mind when choosing your footwear! You are welcome to go barefoot on the beach. Be advised it is possibly chilly on the beach in April so bring all necessary items such as blankets and jackets.

Question

Is this an unplugged wedding or can guests take pictures/videos during ceremony/reception?

Answer

Yes, this will be an UNPLUGGED wedding because we want our guests to be fully present with us during our ceremony. You know we love photos, especially ME :-), however we do ask that you refrain from taking videos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. We don't mind pictures and videos being taken during the reception. Please keep in mind that professional photographers and videographers will be on-site and will need clear shots of the goings-on. We are asking ALL guests not to post any VIDEOS (pictures are OK) of the ceremony on their social media sites. This is a private/intimate moment for us and our guests. If you post on social media we are requesting that you tag each photo/video with our wedding hashtag #nothingfancyjustbushlove and #Bushwedding2023 so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Thanks in advance

Question

When and Where is the ceremony/reception being held?

Answer

Fort Panic Beach Regional Access 5753 W County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 ***be advised on the internet it shows 5753 W Scenic Hwy but that address would not take on my GPS** The ceremony will begin on Sat April 22, 2023 at 5 pm with a beach reception to follow

Question

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Unfortunately, we were unable to get discounts for rooms in the area due to the low amount of rooms needed. Most hotels requesting at least 10 rooms are blocked for a discount and we do not have that many guests attending. I'm able to provide my GOVERNMENT discount for anyone that needs it just let me know. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we do understand if the price point is an issue for most and will hinder you from attending our big day.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are asking our guests to contact me via text message 404 247 8203 by March 25th to let us know if you will be able to attend

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

“You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, you can let us know but we will assume since we have not heard from you by the RSVP due date that you are not attending and will plan accordingly.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking Free?

Answer

Parking is free at the location, however parking spaces are limited. We are suggesting guests Uber or Lyft to the location

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No, the only alcoholic beverages we will provide is boxed wine (white or red). You are more than welcome to bring your drink of choice. Please be aware that no glass bottles/glasses are allowed on the beach, so you will have to leave them in your vehicle or place them in a plastic container.
