We met the Monday before the wedding for our closest friends we were both in. Ryan was the Best Man, while Shanice was a Bridesmaid. We talked for a bit the night of the bachelor/bachelorette outing, and connected more at the rehearsal dinner where we sat by the fire all night long. The day of the wedding came and went, with us dancing the night away. The rest is history.
The weekend of Mother's Day Weekend turned into a bunch of surprises for both of us. Shanice planned a surprise birthday party for me on that Saturday at the brewery I brew at. Little did she know, I had planned to ask her to marry me the very next day. My mom and my nana flew across the country, for what I assumed was for Ryan's birthday party. We all planned to go into Seattle on Mother's Day to walk Pike Place Market with our moms, my nana, Ryan's youngest brother Brady, and my bff Bridget. While there, Ryan asked me to marry him in front of everyone shopping the market, with the most special ring. My Great Grandmothers 50 year old engagement ring. It was a weekend we both will never forget. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
