Jennie Carleo

Maid of Honor

Shani and Jennie don’t recall the first time they met because it was around the young age of 4 when their moms met at the neighborhood pool! They have been best friends ever since. Shani is forever grateful for their lifelong friendship and for Jennie’s love and loyalty. Jennie is a full time nanny, but her passion is Latin dance. She is fluent in Spanish and loves the culture!

Ashley Urbaitis

Matron of Honor

Shani and Ashley first met in high school when Ashley and Ian (Shani's older brother) started dating. Luckily for Shani, Ashley eventually became her sister-in-law! Over the past few years the two have become very close and now Shani considers Ashley to be not only the sister she's always wanted, but also one of her best friends and someone she can always count on. Ashley is a dog mom by day and a mother/baby nurse by night!

Bailey Ferguson

Bailey is the groom's little sister and Shani's future sister-in-law. Shani is so excited to have her stand by her side on her wedding day! When Shani was a bridesmaid in her sister-in-law Ashley's wedding it brought the two of them closer together, so Shani is looking forward to sharing that same experience with Bailey! Bailey went to Appalachian State and graduated with her bachelor's in Supply Chain Management.

Even though Shani first met Alley at a young age when they both lived in Hunley Creek, it wasn't until high school that the two became close friends! She was a grade above the other girls but was always with them no matter what. Shani cherishes the memories she has with Alley and loves to continue to make new ones with all her girls. Alley is a nurse and a fitness fanatic. She motivated all her friends to join Beach Body and she is an amazing coach!

Ashley Spence

Ashley and Shani met in high school and became inseparable their junior year when they'd spend almost every afternoon together hitting up Sonic for a corn dog and mozzarella sticks or staying after school to cheer on their other besties during their soccer games! Ashley is a new mom of a beautiful baby girl named Lucy and works at the Ballantyne Resort as a catering sales manager.

Hannah Deitchal

Shani and Hannah share the same exact birthday (5/31/91) so it’s no wonder the two are besties! When they had to share the birthday rock at school they decided they’d become friends, and the rest is history. They have shared so many memories over the years with all the girls. Hannah is a nanny and is currently studying at Appalachian State online.

Jacelyn Thomas

Shani first met Jacelyn in elementary school when they played on the same soccer team, HBAA Rockettes. However, they didn’t become close until sophomore year when Jacelyn invited Shani to her 16th birthday party. Since then, it has been nothing but fun memories! From those Friday nights they’ll never forget in the Thomas’s basement to countless beach trips and everything in between. Jacelyn is a very busy traveling nurse but somehow still manages to make to almost all the things we plan when she's in town (even if she is 45 min late getting there).

Megan Snelgrove

Megan was also on the Rockette’s soccer team in elementary school! She and Shani became close friends their Sophomore year when Megan asked her to work with she and Jacelyn on a class project in Ms. Craig's civics class. The two share so many memories, but some of Shani’s favorites are the long chats they used to have in each of their driveways. Megan is a High Risk OB Technologist at Atrium and mother to a beautiful baby girl named Tatum.
