Our journey began on December 8th, 2018, at Ms. Bridgett Hood's 50th birthday party. We had already heard a little about each other, thanks to her matchmaking, but neither of us expected that night to change our lives. After exchanging numbers, something clicked instantly. It felt easy, natural, and familiar, as if we had known each other long before that moment. Very quickly, our days became filled with conversations that stretched from morning to night. We talked about everything and nothing, learning each other’s hearts one story at a time. Our first date was at the bowling alley on Ashley Phosphate Road, where we laughed, competed, and realized we shared a spark that neither of us could ignore. Kelsey may have won that night, but I walked away feeling like I had found something even better. A few months later, our connection had grown so strong that I was practically living with him. I met his amazing son, Kameron, and my heart expanded in ways I never expected. Becoming a bonus mom was one of the greatest gifts of my life. In 2021, we welcomed our second son, Karter, and our blended family became complete. We bought our first home, built new traditions, and created a life filled with love, laughter, and growth. Through every challenge and every triumph, we held on to each other and became stronger together. Then came 2024, the year everything changed again. I sensed something was coming, but I could not quite name it. My friends knew more than they let on, and deep down, I knew my heart was preparing for a moment I would never forget. When Kelsey finally proposed, I was overwhelmed with emotion. I was so shocked that I dropped to my knees, completely swept away by the love and sincerity of the moment. It was perfect in every way. Like all couples, we have faced our share of challenges, but instead of breaking us, they shaped us. We learned, we grew, and we chose each other again and again. We traveled, made memories, and became better versions of ourselves. Now, as we look toward forever, our hearts are full.
