That’s where Eric stopped, pulled out a ring, and said one of his favorite lines he uses when working in the cold: “The heat is in the tools.” Shanée had just complained about being ready to go to dinner because it was freezing — and he warmed the whole moment with a joke that was so perfectly him. Shanée loved every second of it. It was so him playful, sincere, and full of love. Just like that, Eric asked her to marry him.
