We met on eHarmony, and I messaged Shane first. He messaged me back and we went on our first date 5 days later at Mountain Cowboy. We instantly clicked on our first date, and I knew that I would marry him someday.

Shane made a reservation for Mt. Evans on Saturday, July 8th. It is one of the only 14ers in Colorado that you can drive all the way to the top. We arrived at the park at 2:00 PM. As we made our drive up the mountain, we stopped at Summit Lake and some other pull offs to take pictures. After we made it to the top, we made our way back down and stopped at Mt. Goliath recreational center where we took a U-shaped hike. At the end of the hike we stopped at a rock bench. Shane then got down on one knee and said "You are love of my life, You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, I don't want to spend another day without you, Will you marry me?" I said "Of course I will!"
