Shane and Sarah met at a wedding in 2020, where after instantly finding a connection, they began a long distance relationship between Spokane, Washington and Bend, Oregon (385 miles!). Shane asked Sarah to be his girlfriend on November 1st, 2020. Through the challenges of Covid, college hockey schedules and graduate school studies, they continued to fall in love! Finally, in 2023, Shane was able to move to Bend where the two got their first place together. They love adventuring together, such as their journey in 2024 to Nepal and Thailand, hiking Annapurna Base Camp in the Himalayas, scuba diving, and rock climbing! At home they love snowboarding, backpacking, camping, paddle boarding-you name it! Their favorite place to visit together is Lake Tahoe, California. In 2026, Shane took Sarah to Tahoe for a long weekend trip where he proposed at Emerald Bay, and she said YES! Their friends, Dayton and Asa were even there to take some awesome pictures of the moment. You have been instrumental in their lives, whether you’re family, friends, coworkers, a coach or something else entirely-they could not be where they are today without you!
