FAQs

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Lawrence will be the home base for the weekend. We’ve reserved a block of rooms for our guests.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Dress for a festive late-fall evening. Suits, sport coats, cocktail dresses, gowns and other polished attire are welcome. Please keep the season in mind, as the ceremony will be held in a historic, unheated stone chapel.

Question

How do we get from Lawrence to Maple Hill?

Answer

Plan on approximately one hour and allow a little extra time for construction. Please note that I-70 is currently closed through downtown Topeka. As you approach Topeka, take I-470 around the south side of the city, then rejoin I-70 on the west side and continue toward Maple Hill. If you need help coordinating a ride, please let us know.

Question

How do we get from Maple Hill to Lawrence?

Answer

Following the ceremony, take I-70 east toward Topeka. Because I-70 is currently closed through downtown Topeka, take I-470 around the south side of the city, then rejoin I-70 on the east side and continue toward Lawrence. The drive from Old Stone Church to Liberty Hall will take approximately one hour.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Following the ceremony we’ll return to Lawrence for dinner, drinks and an evening at Liberty Hall — a century-old theater in the heart of downtown.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We’ve kept things simple and created a fund for our honeymoon, our home and the life we’re building together. Your presence at our wedding means the most to us. We appreciate your generosity.
