Shane and I met when I started working at Aqua East Surf Shop in the summer of 2018. Ask anyone who worked there at the time and they'll tell you it was very scandalous. We survived all the gossiping and silly rumors and we never made out in the shoe room if anyone was wondering. Our first date was to the beach to look for sharks teeth and we had lunch at the OG Cruisers (RIP). Shane supported me through graduating from JU, starting my first big girl job at Brooks Rehab, graduating from Radiation Therapy school, and then starting my actual big girl job at UF Proton Therapy Institute where I help treat cancer patients. We spent over a year renovating our house together (Turd to Treasure circa 2022) and now we've finally settled in with our buddy Wilson. After a very busy few years, Shane proposed to me at Hanna Park pretending to look for shark teeth just like on that very first date. Of course Wilson was there to celebrate with us and it was perfect. 7 years from that first beach date and our lives have changed for the better.
