FAQs

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please book your flight into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), it is the closest to our resort.

Question

Is there a shuttle from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Yes! Once you book your flight, send the information in an email to customercare@envoyagegroup.com so that they can coordinate the shuttle from the airport to the resort for both your arrival and departure.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is Island Formal. Think elegant and dressy, but comfortable for the sand and tropical weather. Men can wear lightweight suits, dress pants with a button down shirt, with dress shoes or loafers. Ties and jackets optional. Women can wear cocktail dresses, flowy maxi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits in breathable fabrics with wedges or dressy sandals. Keep in mind that the wedding will be in the sand! We’d love for everyone to look polished while still keeping cool. Average highs in December are 82-86 degrees and drop to 72-75 degrees in the evenings.

Question

Are there other wedding events?

Answer

We have chosen to keep the rehearsal dinner small in order to allow you to explore the resort and relax. We are currently in the process of booking a catamaran for everyone who is interested. That information will be listed on our Schedule page once we get the exact details.

Question

What currency is used in Punta Cana? Will I need cash?

Answer

The local currency is the Dominican Peso, but US dollars are widely accepted at the resort. Bring small bills for tips. Although it is an all inclusive, you may want to buy something at the store at the resort or elsewhere in Punta Cana. Credit cards are accepted, but some credit cards charge foreign transaction fees, so check with your bank before you travel!

Question

Will I need a plug adaptor in Punta Cana?

Answer

You will not need an adaptor if you are coming from the US or Canada. The Dominican Republic used the same plugs and voltage as the US (Type A & B, 120V, 60 Hz).
