We’re doin the damn thing

In 2020(I know, I know) I had a facetime call with my girlfriend Lindsey. During this 6 hour call, she asked about my dating life, I said non existent. She mentioned her boyfriend, Josh, had a best friend...I stopped her there, and said no thank you. We can't even date right now anyway, no one can go anywhere! She talked a little more about him, and we moved on. The next day, she asked for a couple of photos, as she didn't have social media anymore. I knew where it was going, so I said, I've not nothing to lose. Shortly after sending the photos, I got a follow request on Instagram. I declined it, as I had no idea who it was from. I watch too much dateline to accept requests from men I don't know. When she said he sent me a friend request, I thought to myself, well I'm off to a good start here. In the middle of her match making, Lindsey set up a pizza night at her house if we had a connection via the internet. Shane then slid into my DM'S, for those of you that don't know, he sent me a message on Instagram. We quickly exchanged numbers and talked almost all day, everyday. We had the pizza night about a week and a half later, and a night that was meant to just meet and see how things went, ended up being the beginning of our love story. We both have agreed leaving our homes, and being around people when we were not supposed too, was the best rule we have ever broken, because that night, was the start of the rest of our lives.
