On a Friday night in May of 2014, Kara went out for "girl's night" with one of her best friends, Ang. Little did she know that night would change her world! She and Shane knew of each other, but had not talked in depth. On this particular evening, Kara and her friends went to the fine local establishment, The Wooden Keg, where she ran into Shane and his friends as they were leaving. Shane told Kara to text him if she and her friends headed elsewhere, and Kara nonchalantly replied, "How would I text you if I don't have your number?" They would meet every weekend throughout the fine local establishments in Minersville and Pottsville, text every night, and so their love story began. Kara knew there was something different, something special and unique about this man. She literally was head over heels. On June 18, 2014 Shane asked Kara to be his girlfriend. For over three years of dating, they experienced so much love, joy, laughter, & even overcame the battles that every couple faces.
