Travel in Spain is easy, and most people speak English! Bookings for the hotels will open October 2026, and a 5% discount code will be available for both options listed below. We recommend you book flights and hotel asap, summer in Spain is a popular destination and Altafulla is small. Scroll to the bottom of this page for the two main beachside hotel options, and note these are the only two beach hotels in town. There is one additional hotel in the old town, and other Airbnb options, but it'll be more fun if we are all close. Vamos a la playa!!

Flight

Barcelona - El Prat (BCN)

Barcelona (BCN) is the most convenient airport, and 45 minutes by car to Tarragona! If you do not rent a car, or take an uber, the next best option is a train right from the airport. Don't forget to book your return for departure too! When you arrive in Altafulla, you will not need a rental car, it is small and very walkable!

Train

Barcelona-Sants to Altafulla-Tamarit

Barcelona Airport → Altafulla via train The whole commute via public transportation will take approximately 1.5 hrs, will cost about 7-30 Euros, but will require you to uber/taxi from the airport to Barcelona-Sants train station. From there, buy a train ticket on the Regional Express train, and ride 4 stops to Altafulla - Tamarit. This hotel is kid friendly, and also offers 3 restaurants onsite. There is an adult only pool, and a larger pool where kids are allowed too. Spacious rooms, and modern aesthetic. Recommend booking early as summer on the Spanish coast is a popular destination, and prices can increase quickly!
