We met in 2022 at Cabrini University, where we were both in the same class senior year—Sociology of Deviance. Our connection began while walking to class one day from the same parking lot by Dixon gym. We ended up walking across campus together and getting to know each other along the way. Later that December, we attended the same party and talked all night. About a week later, we went on our first date at Andy’s Diner in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Throughout our relationship, we navigated the challenge of long distance—twice. Emily moved to Washington, D.C. for a year to complete her master’s program in 2024, and Shane moved to Singapore in 2025 for five months for work. While the distance was difficult, we always had each other’s full support and, in a strange way, it brought us even closer through constant communication and unconditional love. In March 2025, we went on a skiing trip to Taos, New Mexico. While skiing, Shane proposed to Emily on the mountain! Today, we live in an apartment in West Chester, Pennsylvania with our beloved dog, Brover. Our favorite things to do together include hiking, skiing and snowboarding, going to Costco, taking road trips, and always seeking out a new adventure. After June 13th, our next adventure will be our honeymoon cruise through the Mediterranean!
