Trains run from both Midway and O'Hare airports into downtown. Once there, Uber, Lyft, and cabs are plentiful.
The church does not have a parking lot, but there are public parking garages nearby. (Use the Spot Hero app.) The Chicago History Museum has a lot approximately 100 yards away and limited street parking (though these may be filled due to the air show). We recommend walking or taking a cab, Uber or Lyft to both the ceremony and reception. If you have your car, consider leaving your car in a garage or lot for Saturday's events and using shared rides. The hotels have garages and charge approximately $60/night.
We suggest heading to a Michigan Ave. bar or restaurant for a cocktail. See our "Things to Do" page for recommendations. For those less adventurous, we suggest resting those legs at the hotel for a night full of dancing.
The Chicago Air & Water Show is happening Aug. 17 & 18 from 10am-3pm. Any lakeside or city rooftop seat is a good one.
We realize the gap between ceremony and reception makes it hard for those of you with little ones. We would love for all of your children to join us at our ceremony but lets make the evening for adults only! College Nannies and Tutors/Lincoln Park offers babysitting services at hotels and Airbnb's.
