How We Met From Ash's Perspective: 

Shane & I met on Hinge after Shane catfished me. We spent two days chatting before meeting in person. Our first date was unorthodox (maybe unsafe?) and lasted 7 hrs, especially since Shane was about to be in Korea for 3 weeks. People know Shane as someone who quickly makes others feel comfortable and safe. When we first met, it felt immediately as if I'd known and missed Shane for years. It was clear we both knew our connection was important and special, which Shane made clear when inviting me to his best friend's wedding the following weekend (also unsafe & no, I did not attend).
