Chelsea Brandt

Matron of Honor

Hockey & Soccer Teammate from Childhood. Chels and I first met playing hockey at U12/ club soccer. The rest is basically history. We continued to be teammates throughout High School and even won the 2010 State High School Hockey Championship #StateChamps2010. We parted ways to pursue our respective sports, Chelsea hockey and myself soccer. Upon returning back to Roseville, post college, our friendship continued. Whether it is a last-minute concert, long fun night out on the town, garage party, vacation, or a chill night in, she is always right there with her support, celebrating life’s big and little wins. If there is one thing to know about Chelsea, it is she cannot say “no,” which has created so many lifelong memories. I could not imagine the big day without her by my side!

Lauren Somers Gilmer

Bridesmaid

College Roommate & Teammate LoLo and I were college roommates and teammates (for a year before she left me for Mankato). Upon her departure from Green Bay fortunately our friendship continued to evolve. Many know Lo as an “activator,” she makes things happen. Whether it was/ is another New Years Eve spent together, no matter the city (Minneapolis, Iowa, or Texas) or some sporting event, she is always scheming. Her schemes never end in a bad time and has created so many memories to look back and reminisce on. While she may no longer be local (lives in Texas) she is a constant in my everyday life. We have travelled and been many places together, but this will be our first time out of the country together, and I am so happy to have her next to me on the big day!

Alisha Anschutz

Bridesmaid

College Teammate Alisha and I met while playing soccer at Green Bay. With the same major and playing the same sport, we spent countless (almost a nauseating amount) of hours together for 3 years. I feel this is a true testament to our friendship. Upon my departure from Green Bay, we continued to find ourselves celebrating life’s milestones together. Whether it was/ is another graduation, a new job, or moving to a new city, we are always encouraging one another on to the next big thing. Fortunately, we found ourselves back in the same city (Milwaukee) for just under 2 years while I attended Nursing school, and I could not have imagined my time there without her. The laughter and honesty that Alisha brings to our friendship is second to none and I could not imagine the big day without her next to me!

Katie Huybrecht

Bridesmaid

High School Hockey Teammate Katie (known by many as "Flan") and I met playing High School hockey. Our friendship quickly grew as she became my (questionable), for lack of better words, chauffeur to and from school (I was a lucky younger teammate). We spent so much time together that we were given and adopted the name Flahna. Katie too has been there to celebrate all things life, regardless of the accomplishment. We have shared limitless laughs and have always been there to listen to one another when in need of advice or simply just a listening ear. As life gets busy, there is one thing I know, I can always count on Katie no matter the situation and could not imagine this new life adventure and big day with out her!

Jake Nelson

Best Man

Brother Jake has never had a choice but to put up with me. As an older brother, I was always a little tough on Jake.... but I like to think that is what helped him become the strong confident loving husband, father and brother he is today. Jake and I share a love of sports. Everything we did was a competition, whether it was football, baseball, golf or even a dumb game we made up in the back yard, someone always had to win. No matter how much Jake and I competed, one thing that was always consistent is that we had each others back and I am honored to have him stand up next to me.

Austin Timm

Groomsman

College Roommate & Friend Austin and I met our freshmen year at SCSU. We bonded very quickly and became great friends very fast. Austin is one of the hardest working and determined people I have ever met. Throughout college, Austin and I played on a Sunday night beer league softball team at the Upper Deck in Sartell. Austin taught me how to finally hit homeruns in that league. The first homerun I ever hit, as the pitch was coming in, from the dugout Austin yelled "DO IT FOR AHNA!" Some would say Austin has known this day has been coming for 10 years. I was honored to be able to stand up next to Austin for his wedding day, and I couldn't imagine today without him by my side.

Luke Johnson

Groomsman

Life Long Friend Luke and I met our freshman year of high school... where he proceeded to shove me in a locker for running my mouth.....(probably well deserved). At first, Luke and I were not friends at all, but that did not last long. Through football Luke and I became best friends, and created endless memories hunting, fishing and just cruising around in my 1990 Ford F-150. Luke has always been a rock that I can count on throughout life and would bend over backwards for the ones he cares for. I am honored to have Luke standing by my side in support.

Joey Popp

Groomsman

College Friend & Roommate Joey (Jorry) and I also met our freshman year of college in the dorms of SCSU. Joey and I have a lot in common, and instantly bonded over our interests of hunting, fishing, sports and PULLTABS. The other thing Joey and I have in common, is that unknowingly our dads lived only miles apart in central Minnesota. We have spent countless weekends in the Grey Eagle/Burtrum area shooting ducks, enjoying bonfires and enjoying the outdoors. I am grateful to have a life long friend like Joey in my life and honored to have him standing up next to me on my wedding day.
