We met on the very last day of our public speaking class—Abby almost got away, but God had other plans. From the start, we had an undeniable connection. We laughed together, had so much fun, and it felt like we had known each other forever. But as much as we loved being together, our relationship wasn’t built on anything solid. We were both lost, searching for something to fill the emptiness in our hearts. After losing her father, who was a pastor, Abby carried pain toward the church and had turned away. I was heading down a dark path myself, and instead of lifting each other up, we ended up going down that road together. But as I got worse, Abby knew where to turn—Jesus. She and her mother prayed for me and eventually took me to Teen Challenge, where I heard the gospel for the first time. That’s where everything changed. When we both turned to Christ, our relationship finally had a solid foundation. He not only restored our lives but strengthened our love in a way we never expected. Now, we live for Him, and our marriage is more than just a commitment—it’s a ministry. We’ve been through so much, but every trial has only brought us closer. God’s grace brought us together, and we can’t wait to see how He continues to use our story for His glory.
