Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place in the same location at Barnwood Events in Madison, WI. Cocktail hour will begin immediately after the conclusion of the ceremony.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. If Wisconsin weather gets the best of us, there is a backup indoor location for the ceremony. The reception will be held indoors, however there will be lawn games and firepits outdoors that can be utilized during cocktail hour and throughout the reception.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking available!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! This venue was just built in 2020 and is extremely accessible. All entrances are ADA compliant, there is accessible parking available, and the restrooms are ADA compliant, as well. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside so guests will need to travel over a very level grassy area to access the ceremony site. If you need any other accessibility accommodations, please reach out and let us know.

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel and the venue?

Answer

Yes! There will be a complimentary shuttle between Barnwood and the hotel included in our wedding block (see Travel page for more information). More detailed timing information to come! Check back closer to the date!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids (we're both teachers, right?!), but our wedding will only include kids who are related to us. We have a limited guest list to stay on budget. We want parents to be able to relax and enjoy the evening, as well. If your child is part of our family and invited to the wedding, they will be listed on your save the date and invitation. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a limited guest list to stay on budget. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invite says "and Guest", then yes feel free to bring a date. If not, please just bring yourself.

Yes, absolutely! There will be a place to indicate these needs when you RSVP.
