Selena & Shane, est 2018. Married July 12, 2025.

This story begins in Spring of 2018--three years after the the lovebirds arrived at Ohio University in Athens, OH. After narrowly avoiding one another for seven semesters, a twist fate led to the two connecting via social media in February of 2018. The groom hosted a house party during 'Milliron Fest' where the couple shared their first kiss, and by the end of Spring Break they had made their relationship official. They spent the rest of their time in Athens getting to know one another more deeply over coffee at Catalyst Cafe each morning. They and, serendipitously, their families (though that is a story for another time) sat next to one another at graduation on May 5, 2018 which the bride's mother often remarked as 'a very good sign.'. Five years after they wrapped their college experience, Selena and Shane returned to Athens, OH for Homecoming Weekend where Shane posed the question, "Will you marry me?"
