It all started when we both skeptically signed up for an online dating app. Eventually our profiles crossed and we scheduled our first date in Long Beach. At this time, Naomi was living in a lively area of Long Beach known as Pine Street. However, Covid was still looming large so this once busy street provided Shane and Naomi a quiet stroll. They spent the next two hours walking along and talking about their life, goals, and interests. It didn't take long for them to realize that they were destined to be together. Four years later, Shane got permission from Naomi's cats, Leah and KJ, to ask for her hand in marriage. Shane waited for their vacation to Japan, the destination that they both love, to ask the big question. As they arrived to a garden in Kamakura, the vibrant trees and desolate location provided the perfect place for the engagement. Tears, smiles, and romantic words were exchanged with no recollection during this agreement for a lifetime of love. We are thrilled to now share this union of love with our dearest family and friends that were all influential in our journey together.
