We met while working at BASF. It was my first day on the job and I was greeted by a couple of my new co-workers, including Colin. I will always remember the grin on his face and the hair flying out from under his hardhat....his signature look. Colin had moved up from Mississippi a few years earlier looking for a new beginning. I had just moved back to the area from Florida. Neither of us expected to find love at work, but there's no denying that....WE CREATE CHEMISTRY. We became teammates first at work....and now in life.

We got engaged at Poinsette Bridge in upstate South Carolina - which is believed to be the oldest bridge in the state. I had found the perfect ring and couldn't wait for it to arrive. Once I received it, I knew I had to give it to her as soon as possible to avoid ruining the surprise. So, I planned a spur of the moment trip to a place that neither of us had been to, which turned out to be one of the most joyous and memorable days of my life. May our marriage withstand the test of time as well as that bridge.
