We're Getting Married!

Torrance first heard of me through a mutual friend of ours.. I never knew of Torrance or of his name. According to Torrance, he knew of me for at least a year before I moved to Beaumont. He said that he glanced at my profile picture on Facebook and thought I was beautiful. Torrance decided to DM me on Facebook in late October 2016. I thought his DM was like most guys trying to hit me up and so I asked how he knew me because my name is not common. He said a mutual friend told him about me. Yes, I did check with that person to be sure. I was going to Dallas to be with my sister for Thanksgiving that year. We decided to meet because his route was through Dallas. I remember pulling up on his 18-wheeler and as I watched him walk down the stairs of his truck, I thought to myself..."yes, he's tall, chocolate, and handsome." The chemistry happened when we walked up to each other, and he spoke with that nice deep voice of his and his beard completed the rest for me! He told me that I looked exactly like my pictures and that I wasn't catfishing him haha. We talked for a few minutes, and he hugged me, and we left our separate ways. We continued to keep talking to one another through text and phone calls. Torrance was always a gentleman to me. He would take routes that led him through Beaumont, so he could surprise me and spend the weekend hanging out with me. Our little weekends together was something I looked forward to! After a few more months went by of lunch dates and dinner dates, I mentioned to Torrance that if he wanted me to be his woman, he would have to ask me because I was not going to assume what we were. On Jan 1st, 2017, I picked him up from the truck stop, and he looked at me and said he wanted to ask me something. He asked me if I would be his woman and I said yes! Now, we skip a few years ahead and we went on our 4th cruise for New Year's 2022. We got back to our stateroom, and he made me close my eyes until he told me to open them. When I opened my eyes, Torrance was down on one knee and had the room decorated with streamers, champagne, and a chocolate cake and strawberries. He told me he knew from the start he wanted me to be his wife. He said he couldn't imagine his world without me, and God showed him me before we ever met. Torrance popped the question and asked if I would marry him? I shouted "YES," and were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
