Shaneil and Andrew met in San Diego while they were both there for the weekend with friends. They were part of the same "Club Crawl" meaning they would visit several clubs as a group for the night. Shaneil noticed Andrew first because she thought he looked like a guy from a reality TV show she watched but their paths did not cross until the fourth and final destination of the night. There they started a conversation over their mutual preference for whiskey and exchanged social media handles. After returning home to Los Angeles, the two did not keep in touch. However, several months later, they unexpectedly ran into one another. Shaneil had a doctor's appointment in the same medical plaza that Andrew was working for the day. After that, they exchanged text messages here and there but again didn't hang out until music eventually brought them together. The two began going to concerts together since they liked a lot of the same bands. Their appreciation for live music brought them to places like Colorado and even back to San Diego where they first met. Hesitant as they both were to admit their feelings, their mutual love for music eventually became love for each other, and the rest is history.

Andrew proposed to Shaneil during a concert while one of their favorite bands was playing her favorite song. The band, Foxing, was a special one to the couple since it was one of the very first bands they saw together and grew to like side by side as their relationship developed. Shaneil was holding her phone up recording the band and was completely caught off guard (and a bit annoyed that he was interrupting her favorite song) when Andrew kept tapping her on the shoulder. When she finally turned her head, Andrew was holding the most beautiful ring, a light shining on it as it rested in a wooden box that Andrew had made himself. It was an unforgettable moment accompanied by the most perfect soundtrack.
