The first time I saw him; I was scrolling on a dating app that I randomly one night decided to try out and see. I remember coming across him and read his profile, and noticed we had a lot in common so decided to "swipe right" and I left it in his hands if he wanted to reach out or not. Well, he did. We started talking, and then he asked for my number, and we chatted for a few weeks and our conversations just faded and stopped. I was certain I would never hear from him again. I thought about him often, but eventually he faded into the ‘missed connections’ category. About a month later, out of the blue, he texted me asking if I would like to have dinner together soon. I pondered on that question for a bit, until I realized I needed to meet him in person. After the one night we sat on the phone talking for over 7 hours, I knew we had a great connection, and I wanted to get to know him better. On December 16th, 2022, we finally had our first date together at Blue Line in Sartell, MN. After that night, I told myself that he is the one, he is the one that I was meant to wait for. The connection we had from the start, the conversation, and having so much in common. We continued to talk and see each other and when saying “goodbye, until next time” got harder and harder, I knew he truly was my person. Here we are almost 3-years later, and we have built such an amazing life together with our blended family of 5.
