Mario serves for the U. S Navy and Shanalee worked at an apartment community in Winter Park, FL.... In 2016, Mario was stationed in Wichita, KS and was preparing to move to his new duty station in Orlando FL. He had come across an apartment community online in Winter Park, FL. He worked with Shanalee to secure an apartment home via email and over the phone. Mario moved in November 2016, where they physically met for the first time, not knowing it would be the beginning of forever....

After meeting, Mario visited the leasing office everyday after work. Unbeknownst to Shanalee, he was coming to see her. After weeks of getting to know one another, they went out to celebrate a mutual friend’s birthday where they had the time of their lives. From that day forward, history was in the making. They spoke every night, went on lunch dates and had date nights! These two were inseparable! After a year of dating, Mario made Chief Petty Officer of the Navy and was given the opportunity to move to Georgia. Shanalee took a leap of faith and left her life in Florida to be with Mario. Mario and Shanalee have lived in Georgia for the last two years and welcomed their daughter, Marsha, into the word in September 2020! In October 2020, Mario decided to make their lives and love permanent. One evening, in the midst of casual conversation, Mario proposed and Shanalee said yes!!!
