Shamoy and Vincent’s story began back in the 5th grade at West Chatham Elementary School. What started as childhood friendship quickly became a bond that would quietly stand the test of time. Through the years, they remained close friends, sharing laughs, memories, and growing up side by side. In high school, they decided to give dating a try but as young love sometimes goes, it just wasn’t the right time. Life took them in different directions, yet their connection never truly faded. Both Shamoy and Vincent went on to attend college in the same city, though fate kept them apart and they never crossed paths. After Shamoy graduated in 2019 and returned home to Savannah, destiny finally stepped back in. On July 20, 2021, Vincent sent Shamoy a simple Snapchat message asking if she wanted to go to the movies. That night changed everything. The date went so well that they couldn’t wait to see each other again and just three days later, on July 23, 2021, they went out again. From that moment on, they’ve been inseparable. What began as a childhood friendship blossomed into a love rooted in history, growth, and perfect timing. Now, they’re ready to begin their forever together.

Tulum had always been a special place for Shamoy and Vincent a destination they returned to every summer to relax, reconnect, and celebrate life together. In 2024, they decided to do something a little different. Instead of their usual summer trip, they planned a fall getaway in October to celebrate Vincent’s birthday. What Shamoy didn’t know was that this trip held a much deeper meaning. Behind the scenes, Vincent had been thoughtfully planning the proposal. He had already spoken with both of their families and closest friends, making sure everyone who mattered was part of the moment in spirit. With a vision in mind and a specific date planned, Vincent waited for the perfect opportunity. On October 14th, Shamoy and Vincent went out to dinner. The ambiance was nothing short of magical soft lighting, a romantic table setting, rose petals scattered across the table, and sweet words written in chocolate on the plate. In that moment, surrounded by love and intention, Vincent knew he couldn’t let it pass. That night, in the place they loved so dearly, Vincent asked Shamoy to be his forever and she said yes.
