Our story all started at our job while I (Shamon) was working at a specific duty post. I was doing the usual reading and writing when I heard someone speak, I didn’t bother to look up right away and just pop the gate. I then looked up as I started to respond and immediately thought, “I havent ever seen him before but he was so cute In his hat” (lol), as he walked away….. Just keep in mind as I would be in our turnout before work never paid attention when they did role call and never realized he was the guy they would say to “Who Mike Jones, Who Mike Jones, Jones”. After that encounter I was paying attention. But back to our story, the same duty post they continued to put me on, I noticed he would come by more and more frequently speaking and asking me, “how my day was and how i’m doing?” I would speak back but not hold the conversation for long but I surely was thinking aloud in my head, “mmm, He Looks good” LOL…. He then begin to start asking if he can have my number and i’d say “NO” or politely brush it off with a chuckle. However, I would hear him on the radio and call to his building every now and then to speak and see how his night is going but be sure not to talk long. Well weeks passed and he would still try to shoot his shot but i remembered telling my self and God, “Lord I like his persistence but if he is the one show me a sign”. Days and weeks passed still speaking and trying until one day, he passed by he spoke and stated “I’m not going to ask you for your number again” and instead gave me his. Oooh wee i was already praying about him because I had already told my self my husband is not at no prison, but that night I begin to pray more and more “Lord, should I call him or not”. Well I didn’t call but I did text him. We talked through messaging for weeks until I finally called him and he said to me, “you finally called”. Well one thing led to another, we’ve had up’s and down’s but we are still holding on and here we are now getting ready to become one.
