Bride
I have dreamed of building a life with someone who loves me unconditionally and protects me like I am apart of himself. Stephen embodies that and so much more. He brings an indescribable joy to my life and I thank God for him daily. There are not words adequate enough to articulate the gratefulness in my heart for God honoring my prayers and allowing me to marry my very best friend.
Groom
I remember prior to meeting Shameka praying about one day not only having a wife, but a friend, a woman of faith, and a supporter of me and my dreams. Shameka is all that and more. It’s so refreshing to reflect on prayers spoken to God and see them manifested daily before my very eyes. I’m so grateful for that day in November when I met Shameka. It was a pleasure to be friends first before we even considered dating. I’m happy that we can laugh together, pray together, and do life together. There’s so much joy that she brings to my life. I’m excited to see what life has in store for us next!
Maid of Honor
I met Danielle in the 6th grade. While we didn't get along at first, by 7th grade we were fast friends and have been ever since. Danielle and I have grown from band mates in middle school, college roommates and are now travel partners and keepers of each other secrets along the way. She is one of the sisters I never had and a best friend in every sense of the word. For Stephen and I both, our special day would not be complete without her there to celebrate with us.
Best Man
My brother from another mother! Bryan and I both attended college together at Johnson & Wales University. Rather if it was working together in a culinary lab, hosting an event on campus, or exploring Charlotte, NC we did it all. Fast forward 5 years later we are still planning our next culinary adventure. I value that we are still able to talk and hang out just like 5 years ago. Bryan is a great friend that I’m happy to have met. Bryan is married to Jessika Noble, and a father to Isabelle Noble.
Bridesmaid
Robin and I met shortly after high school at my first "adult" job and she has been an avid supporter of mine since that time. The adventurers of my 20's would not have been complete without her and she is helping to shape the transforming of my 30's. We have referred to ourselves as "peas and carrots" though I am sure we both are happy we never got around to getting the tattoos to commemorate that! Robin is the bold fashionista in my life and I wouldn't think of preparing to walk down the aisle without her making sure I am snatched!
Groomsman
John was my roommate at Johnson & Wales University for Freshman and Sophomore year of college. There were many meals shared between the two of us. We would learn how to make a dish then have our own experimentation back in our apartment (many were successful too I might add). I’m thankful that I was able to have John as a roommate. Being honest we came from almost opposite parts of the country only to find out how much in common we really have. John is married to Rachel Kyle.
Bridesmaid
In 2012, I moved to Memphis, TN to begin my career away from all of my family and friends. Patricia immediately began inviting me to lunch, to events around the city and to her families home to celebrate holidays. Patricia became my first friend and big sister in a new city. She helped me develop the needed skills to excel in my career and also imparted wisdom to me by her example of being a loving and patient wife. We have had MANY talks about dating and God's plan, I can't imagine committing to Stephen without her by my side.

Bridesmaid
They say that cousins are your first friends, meet my cousin Niki! I fondly remember days of tagging along with her and my other cousins as the youngest in the bunch. As we grew up, Niki and I found that we shared an ambition to succeed that drew us even closer. She charted the course of what success looked like for me and has been a confidant with many discussion about life, love and everything in between. There is no way I could tie the knot without my first friend by my side!
Groomsman
Art and I have known each other since we were about 5 or 6 years old. Our first Sunday school classes were spent together at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. Even though we never went to the same school, we literally grew up together and stayed in touch the whole time. Art is a great friend that even though we don’t talk everyday, literally we can see each other and pick up as if there was no time lost.
Attendant and Hostess
My sweet, sweet niece. Though young in age, she has taught me so much. From being a constant source of love to a model of unshakable faith, my niece motivates me to be a better person. It has been one of my life’s greatest accomplishments to be a role model for her. Getting ready for my wedding day without her helping is simply not an option!
Attendant and Hostess
Weddings have a way of making you realize that family is ever evolving. Our family evolved recently with the introduction of Jakhaya as my niece. As I join a new family with my coming nuptials, I am reminded of the excitement and also uncertainty that comes with such a journey. I am honored to have Jakhaya be apart of such a dynamic moment in my life even though we are just beginning to build a relationship of our own.
