We’re Tying the Knot!

It all began with a 🙂… on Eharmony! I had only been on there a mere six weeks, as Felix had been a member for a little over a year. I had seen so many of the same pages from other dating sites and quickly became discouraged. I was just about to give up on the entire ordeal until I had stumbled across his page… A tall, dark, and handsome young man whom I thought was a “bot.” The information on his page intrigued me, his pictures made my heart melt, and I told myself that if he were a real person, I had to get to know him! Uncertain if I would ever receive a response, I simply sent a smile. Within a couple of days later, our lives changed for the better…

Felix and I decided to get out of the house one night to go to dinner and if we were up to it, take a walk around Lake Eola Park, just like we did on our first date! We have been together for a year and a half now, and we tried to do things like this on the weekends as much as possible. On this particular night, after we finished dinner, we decided to walk off our meal at Lake Eola Park. We walked around for a bit and ended up at the same bench that we sat on from our first date where we talked for a while. I really did not think anything of it, as we were just reminiscing with each other. I asked him if he wanted to keep walking around, or if he wanted to start heading home. He then just stood up over me like a tower. Oddly, he was just standing in front of me, smirking and fidgeting with his hands in his pockets, looking around. I was so lost, because I realized he never answered the question! I asked him again, and he responded with “you know, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking during the past year and a half that we have been dating…” Again, I was lost because I had no clue what was going on. Now, if anyone knows my fiancé, then you know that he may start rambling after talking for a while! But the last thing he said to me was “frankly, I don’t want to call you my girlfriend anymore…” I thought he was breaking up with me! Quite the contrary, Felix got down on one knee and reached into the same pocket he was fidgeting in! My heart raced! Out came the most beautiful red, 3D, heart-shaped ring box that encased the most stunning ring I’d ever seen! He then said “will you do me the honor of marrying me?” I was so shocked! Of course, I happily accepted with tears in my eyes! Now, we begin the next chapter in our lives… I became his fiancée, and soon will become his wife!
